Martina Nwakoby (author of A House Divided, A Lucky Chance) died yesterday. Nwakoby, Nwapa, Ekwensi lived in #Enugu. Having these blood and flesh writers who were also the parents of folks I knew made writing an accessible dream for me. May they all Rest In Peace
@chikaunigwe It’s been a while since I heard of a “stolen” phone. They are useless. People usually turn them in and once you can trace back your steps, you find them. Ndo. Mine hasn’t backed up my WhatsApp so I’ll cry if I had to get a new phone.
I am again exhilarated by the intriguing story of a Nigerian author, Prof @chikaunigwe, who recently earned two global honorary distinctions: the decoration of Knight of the Order of the Crown and recognition with a Proclamation/Oorkonde by the Christoffel Plantin Fonds,

So we have water pressure wahala on parts of campus, and the idea of toilets not being flushable is enough to ask folks not to come in today due to "unhealthy working conditions." I cry in Naija for all the things -big and small- that we consider normal ):

Thank you for such a wide ranging interview. As a child, I was an introvert, and now still, I'm more likely to be listening than to be speaking BUT I have always loved talking about my writing, about my works, and about those on whose shoulders I stand @TheMidDaughter
