"IN THE LAST 20 YEARS, THE WORLD SPENT $10 TRILLION ON WIND, SOLAR, AND BATTERIES. IT HASN'T MADE IT TO 3% OF GLOBAL ENERGY, AND IT'S JUST DRIVEN UP PRICES."
- U.S. ENERGY SECRETARY CHRIS WRIGHT
IS EVERYONE ELSE ABLE TO SEE WHAT A SCAM THIS HAS BEEN?
Motley Fool CIO Scott Phillips just said the quiet part out loud on News24 with Peter Stefanovic.
Chalmers is heating the economy up while the Reserve Bank is trying to cool it down.
Phillips: “Why are you running a deficit budget, adding stimulus to the economy?”
“They’re literally heating up the economy, while the Reserve Bank is trying to take money out of the economy and cool things down”
That’s the whole game, one hand on the accelerator, the other on the brake.
Mortgage holders cop the bill.
Stefanovic pressed the contradiction that Labor never wants on camera: “if Michele Bullock is jacking rates to choke demand and kill inflation, why is Treasury still running a deficit and pumping extra spending into the same economy? That’s not responsible budgeting”
That’s the government pouring fuel on the fire the RBA is trying to put out.
Deficit spending is stimulus. Full stop.
It adds demand, it keeps prices high, it keeps the cash rate higher for longer.
Then Chalmers fronts up and pretends inflation is all Iran, all “global shocks,” anything except the budget he actually controls.
Phillips has been saying this for years:
“fiscal policy and monetary policy are working against each other, Canberra spends and the RBA tightens”
Households get smashed in the middle.
If the Treasurer wanted to help the RBA, he’d stop adding stimulus, he’d stop running deficits into an economy that’s already too hot.
He won’t, because the spend is the politics.
One policy fights inflation. The other fights the next election.
Guess which one wins.
Why I’m a proud climate change denier…..
When I was growing up there was just climate/weather. Nothing else.
Then all of a sudden, we were told we had to be fearful of the ozone layer.
Then we were told that we had to ‘save the trees’ so all paper products were demonized….and wait for it….we were told plastics were the solution.
Then there was the oil crisis - that the world was gonna be deplete of all oil.
Then we were informed that the ice caps were melting and life on earth would no longer be sustainable.
Then it became Global Warming…until it was pointed out that the earth was actually cooling.
Thirty years later….complete reversal, now everything needs to be paper based, ie paper straws, paper grocery bags etc.
The current phase, read buzzword, is Climate Change. That way every environmental issue can be slotted under one umbrella…then they can go big and make the bold claim of a global existential crisis that we must live in fear of.
Then there are the dates that never eventuate. The dates politicians tell us that if we ‘don’t act now’ the world is doomed forever!’
Al gore predicted in 2009 with absolute certainty that the ice caps would all be melted within 5-7 years. We are currently ten years on from projected date…and we still have ice caps that only this week we are told are regenerating ice at a rapid rate.
In 2006 he predicted that the sea levels would rise 20 ft in the ‘near future’. I’m still waiting.
In 2007 Tim Flannery stated that "even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and river systems”. Warragamba Dam alone has been spilled seven times since then.
AOC said in 2019 that the world was going to end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change.
What’s also interesting is that the people that claim sea levels are going to rise detrimentally, are the same people with beachside mansions. Weird, huh?
And in that thirty year period….nothing has changed. We still have bushfires we’ve always had. We’ve still got floods, and every other weather phenomenon that has always existed, still occur.
What has changed is the official narrative. Now we have governments pushing this continual cycle of fear. No people are more compliant, than a people living in fear.
Sure, you’ll be told that these are the worst bushfires ever, the greatest flood, the hottest day, the warmest summer on record…but they bank on you not checking data to confirm the claim.
Except I do. And you should.
Ever wondered why citizens are all required to financially offset their emissions, but politicians and celebrities can fly around unquestioned and unchallenged over their carbon footprint, all the while lecturing us about ours?
Ever wondered why the environment never improves, but the demand for people’s money grows greater and more frequent?
Then there are the banks that still provide loans for waterfront homes they know will sink? Yeah, right. No bank would ever fund a loan on a property that they knew would be underwater in a matter of years, before the loan was paid off.
When you’ve been raised in an education that pushes this government self-serving narrative, I can understand why people think it was real. 12 years of repeatedly being told it is real will have that effect. This has been deliberate on the part of the government. Then they enter university where there Climate Change education continues.
So you ask how can people not believe in Climate Change…?
Really easy. I don’t buy into any government campaign that’s based on fear, and where they are the ones with the most to benefit.
Secondly, I check the information the government provides versus historical data and am always amazed by what I discover. I don’t just believe what they say simply because they say it. Since when has a government ever been honest? Anything the government says should always be met with initial skepticism, until verified.
Until then, I’ll remain a proud climate change denier
I am so over this bullshit. If the AFL is going to turn this stupid incident into a pedestal of morality to lecture men about their integrity & values towards women, then that'll be the straw that breaks the camel's back for me.
The stupid decisions of five men and the manipulative actions of three women of questionable character is not the hangsmen's noose they think it is to put around the collective neck of the male species.
I've never disrespected women, I've never engaged in violence of any kind against women, I've never paid any women to service my sexual needs, and I've always been totally respectful in any relationships I have with a woman.
Like millions of other men I had those values and morals drilled into me by my parents and older siblings.
The last class of people I'm taking lectures from on this subject is elite athletes, celebrities, the media and our fucking politicians. Considering their collective track record over my lifetime, it would be the height of hypocrisy and a total lack of self awareness for any of them to lecture any other section of the community about respectful relationships.
They can't even identify what is & what isn't a women for their competition eligibility FFS.
If they go down that road to lecture men, then fuck the AFL & any other elite sport that consider that course of action. If they want to lecture ppl, then keep it in house and lecture each other. It's your culture that's a mess not ours.
I don't need the lectures, the moralising, the virtue signalling, the victimhood, the wokeism. I don't pay my hard earned dollars to turn on a tv set to have AFL individuals tell me how to live my life.
I turn on the TV set to watch high level athletic competition and to be entertained. Your not anybody's role models, your athletes with the god given ability to compete at higher levels than most.
That's it, that's all there is.
Stop the lectures & associated bullshit or I will stop watching & supporting & I'll go find another sport/recreation without this bullshit.
Get your own house in order AFL, mine is perfectly fine.
Who’d of guessed. 😱
You reduce demand, prices fall - what a novel concept ?
If you are renting, Labor with Albanese’s vote importing mass migration scheme is keeping you poor and reducing your standard of living.
How are energy-intensive industries in Australia supposed to compete against China when Blackout Bowen deliberately restricts them from using electricity generated from Australian coal — the exact same coal we ship straight to China so their factories can run rings around us?
This insanity has already slaughtered industry after industry in Australia.
However, the full economic carnage is being masked over with endless government handouts - all funded by borrowed money.
When those subsidies finally dry up, the remaining businesses will shut their doors for good — leaving future generations crushed under a mountain of debt, with no wealth-creating industries left to generate the money needed to service it.
Blackout Bowen, with his reckless stupidity and fanatical Net Zero zealotry, has condemned Australia’s children and grandchildren to hardship, decline, and poverty.
I had a terrible moment where It occurred to me that if someone could claim to be Trans in bad faith in order to enter the WNBA, then logically people could do the same thing to gain access to women's changing rooms. Then I remembered that logic is just a far right construct.
2.5 BILLION of your taxes to prop up Rio Tinto’s Tomago smelter.
Barnaby Joyce nailed it:
this is the direct result of Labor’s intermittent energy fiasco and the delusion we can “change the weather.”
Rio has looked at the grid Labor wrecked and decided it won’t manufacture in Australia anymore - just dig it up and ship it out.
Congratulations to the clowns who delivered the swindle factories that are deindustrialising the country while sending power bills through the roof.
Peter Stefanovic put Industry Minister Tim Ayres through the wringer and asked the only question that matters: “Electricity has become so unaffordable under your government, so is this bailout because of your policies?”
Ayres waffled about coal being “too expensive” and solar/wind/batteries making everything competitive.
Stefanovic’s reply was perfect: “Not so much a good deal for the taxpayer.” Spot on.
$2.5 million per job.
$250,000 per worker every year.
Public money to keep a loss making smelter alive because Labor’s energy policy made reliable power too expensive.
This isn’t nation building.
It’s an admission of failure paid for by the rest of us.
Stop the madness.
The WNBA trying to find a way to include men dressed as women in the league without letting men in the league is one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a while.
The only thing more ridiculous than a womens league holding an emergency meeting to try to figure out what a woman is, is a womens league holding an emergency meeting to try to figure out what a woman is and being unable to reach a decision 🙄
Like guys, if this is the question thats flummoxing you, you might want to pack it in. Life gets a lot harder than this.
Thailand has just dropped it electricity price by up to 20% .
How is this possible in a country of 70 odd million.
Easy because they use the cheapest form of energy.
Gas,coal,hydro.
How much longer will the midget imbecile be allowed to destroy Australia on a fantasy?
Ray Hadley just dropped a truth bomb.
Zen Energy – South Australia’s second biggest renewables supplier – has collapsed into liquidation with $1 billion in debts.
Losses exploded from $69 million to $322 million in a single year.
Chris “Casanova” Bowen keeps telling us coal is dead, gas is dirty, and nuclear is completely off the table, renewables are the only future.
Australia was sold a pup.
While other countries are racing to build nuclear, we’re still banned from even having the debate.
The result?
Collapsing renewable companies and an energy system that can’t keep the lights on without coal and gas.
We need coal, gas and nuclear.
The sooner this government wakes up, the better.
The belief that humans can change the average temperature of any planet in the Solar System is the most delusional mass psychosis in the era of Scientism, which will be remembered as the most irrational epoch in the history of mankind. People have completely lost it in the droves
Just sent this formal letter to AFL CEO Andrew Dillon. @AFL
Demanding XX chromosomes only for all female leagues or I’ll enter a full team of biological males identifying as women (called 2 Balls Collide) into the Adelaide female competition in 2027.
AFL’s current policy is unfair, unsafe and morally bankrupt. Time actual men stood up for women.
After years of cashing in on climate fear through renewables, fake meat and carbon schemes, Bill Gates is quietly rewriting the story.
In 2021, Gates warned that climate change would erase coastlines, kill millions and make outdoor life impossible.
Now, in a recent memo, he says the planet will cope just fine. But this was always the case.
Satellite data show a greener planet with CO2 feeding more vegetation. The Lancet confirms cold kills at least nine times more people than heat. And studies point to reduced cloud cover, not CO2, as the main cause of recent warming.
Great Barrier Reef coral cover is at record highs, and so too are polar bear populations.
The climate didn't collapse. The narrative did.
Rio Tinto nearly a trillion company threaten to go offshore because of massive electricity prices.
Albanese bails them out with $2.6b of your borrowed money (av $2m a worker).
This was caused by Labors renewable energy policies.
When the pathological liar is spinning this today in front of the Labor payed off media who is standing next to him but Bowen the architect of the problem.
Arsonist at the bushfire.
We are literally watching Australia being destroyed in front of our eyes.
$2.5 Million Per Job
Australia is in deep trouble. We are being governed by a pack of incompetent clowns.
Blowing $2.5 billion to “secure” just 1,000 jobs works out to a grotesque $2.5 million per job.
Tomago was once a genuine wealth-creating industry — until Net Zero fanaticism destroyed its economic viability.
Now it’s nothing more than a taxpayer-funded handout of $2.5 million per worker just to keep the doors from slamming shut.
Where the hell is this money coming from?
Which productive industries are supposed to generate the extra profits to bankroll this insanity?
And what happens when the cash finally runs out?
Aluminium smelters need reliable power 24/7. You cannot produce aluminium at an internationally competitive price with Chinese-made solar panels, wind turbines and batteries.
Until we ditch this Net Zero madness, Australia will keep sliding backwards.
