@Troy_Arcadia@StormNightsong@Likeshesays Be honest… if Joe Biden skirted all normal process to do the exact same thing how would you feel? How would you feel if he tore down the east wing of the White House without any due process?
That is my issue.
@AX4sqhGS@Likeshesays Funny you should say that because the picture she posted is from 2012 one month after a two year renovation to the pool. As I’ve stated, I don’t fault the administration for wanting to clean the pool up. I fault them for the process they followed.
@Troy_Arcadia@StormNightsong@Likeshesays There is nothing wrong with that. But, it’s still a tidal basin and still subject to algae blooms. To my point, that didn’t change. This is essentially like putting a band aid on a bullet wound. Oddly enough, the picture posted is from 2012, 1 month after a 2-yr long renovation.
@Likeshesays I don’t fault the administration for wanting to clean up the pool. I fault them for the process by which they went about doing so. It’s the same with the ballroom. There are certain considerations that should have taken place and per usual Trump ignores them & does what he wants.
@Likeshesays Try to control your emotions Denise… we’re just talking. The picture you posted was from 2012 oddly enough the algae bloom occurred after extensive renovations to the pool. The reflecting pond connects to a tidal basin and sometimes algae blooms happen… and they will again.
@Likeshesays He skirted proper procedure to hire a “friend” that said he could do it for one price then that price ballooned. The color of the spray was also changed from vibrant blue to dark blue AFTER people complained. And, as mentioned, no infrastructure was improved.
@Likeshesays What was done to keep it from looking like that again. No infrastructure was changed. All that was done was they added a spray in liner. They can’t treat the water. Also it’s not that it was cleaned up that was what pissed people off…
@libsoftiktok For one the inflating cost and procurement process (or lack thereof). 2, it changes the historical appearance. 3, We’re not convinced it solves the problems; it will likely still leak, it doesn’t solve the algae problem (may make it worse), nor replaces any aging infrastructure.

@rrmjr51124@mehdirhasan I don’t think we should be proud of a president that trolls anyone… 14 year olds, adolescent men and college girls… that is who trolls.
@ElRushboNews I’m pretty confident that Nicola Jokic does not want to be the face of the league. He wants to play basketball and then go home to be with family and play with his horses.
@BrilynHollyhand No offense but republicans say a lot of things that they never do or prove; the election was stolen (lost every case), we’ll release the Epstein files (still waiting), tariffs will reduce the national debt (nope), and more, so we’re gonna need more than Millers BS statement
