STORY | Spurious liquor tragedy in Gujarat's Bhavnagar: Death toll rises to seven; 30 hospitalised

The death toll due to consumption of spurious liquor in Gujarat's Bhavnagar district has gone up to seven, while 30 persons are hospitalised, police said on Thursday.

So far, 12 bootleggers have been detained in this connection, with an FIR registered against 21 persons, Inspector General of Police, Bhavnagar Range, R V Asari said.

Gujarat is a 'dry' state where the manufacture, sale and consumption of alcohol is banned.

Seven persons have died after consuming spurious liquor, and 30 are undergoing treatment, Asari said.

"A case of accidental death was registered when a person died after consuming toxic, chemical-laced liquor at Kharakadi village under the Vartej police station limits. An FIR was subsequently lodged, naming 21 individuals as accused," he said.

The police are conducting the investigation, and a team of the State Monitoring Cell has been assigned to handle the case, the official said.

"So far, 12 individuals have been rounded up," he added.

यूपी के सरकारी स्कूलों में बाहरी व्यक्तियों और यूट्यूबर्स की एंट्री पर बैन लगाए जा रहे हैं। बुधवार को अयोध्या के बेसिक शिक्षा अधिकारी लाल चंद्र ने फरमान जारी किया है। उन्होंने कहा- स्कूलों में सक्षम अधिकारियों की अनुमति के बिना फोटो लेने और वीडियो बनाने वालों पर कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

बीएसए ने छात्र-छात्राओं की सुरक्षा और उनके हितों का हवाला दिया। कहा, कुछ लोग स्कूलों में पहुंचकर शिक्षकों और स्टाफ के वीडियो बनाकर सोशल मीडिया पर डाल रहे हैं। इससे पढ़ाई प्रभावित होने के साथ शिक्षक पद की गरिमा को भी ठेस पहुंच रही है।

अयोध्या से पहले आजमगढ़, बलिया, बस्ती, बलरामपुर, शामली और आगरा में भी इस तरह के आदेश जारी हुए हैं।

इसको Maser Trolley कहते हैं। भारी वज़न को ढोने का काम करता है। एक बेसिक ट्राली की कीमत भी ₹10 हज़ार से कम होती है। थोक में खरीदने पर अधिक से अधिक डिस्काउंट मिलने की संभावना है।

लेकिन मंगल पांडे जी ने विशुद्ध पराक्रम दिखाते हुए एक Maser Trolley को ₹49750 में खरीदा है।

ठीक तो करना पड़ेगा। ऐसा नहीं कि सरकार पैसे नहीं देती है। सरकार खुद से मॉनिटर नहीं कर सकती तो नागरिकों को करना ही चाहिए। बिहार में कूड़ेदान घोटाला हो गया है। ये सरकार ने नहीं एक नागरिक पत्रकार ने पकड़ा। प्लास्टिक का कूड़ेदान जो 1000-1500 में आता है, 15000 में ख़रीदा गया है। संतोष सिंह के साथ साथ राज्य के कई यू ट्यूबर इसे उठाने लगे हैं। बिहार सरकार का आदेश आता ही होगा कि डस्टबिन पर वीडियो बनाना मना है।डस्टबिन घोटाले का संबंध अस्पताल से ही है।

आज प्रयागराज में जो देखा वो शायद कभी नहीं भूलूंगा. एक ओर देश आज़ादी का जश्न मना रहा था और दूसरी ओर नन्हें बच्चे खुलकर बोल रहे थे कि उनके हॉस्टल की व्यवस्था कितनी जर्जर है. इनकी उम्र महज़ 9-15 साल के बीच की थी. वो प्रिंसिपल के सामने बोल रहे थे कि प्रिंसिपल कैमरे पर झूठ बोल रहे हैं. उन्होंने पूरा हॉस्टल घुमा दिया. जिस टंकी से बच्चे पानी पी रहे थे उसने चिड़िया मरी हुई पड़ी थी. सड़ी रोटियां पानी टंकी में पड़ी थी. अंडा पड़ा था. और प्रिंसिपल कह रहे उनके पास फंड नहीं है. सवाल है इसका जिम्मेदार कौन है? समाज कल्याण की देख रेख में चलने वाले हॉस्टल की इतनी बत्तर हालत क्यों? कौन जवाब देगा?

इलाहाबाद हाईकोर्ट ने मीडिया रिपोर्ट पर स्वतः संज्ञान लेते हुए कहा कि छोटे बच्चों को सरकार की जिम्मेदारी वाले काम के लिए आंदोलन करना पड़े, यह स्वीकार नहीं किया जा सकता। इलाहाबाद हाईकोर्ट के चीफ जस्टिस अरुण भंसाली और जस्टिस क्षितिज शैलेंद्र की पीठ ने यूपी सरकार, हमीरपुर DM, PWD और अन्य विभाग के अधिकारियों को नोटिस जारी कर तत्काल उठाए जा रहे कदमों का जवाब मांगा है। करीब 1.5 किलोमीटर सड़क खराब है और ₹1.81 करोड़ का प्रस्ताव लंबित है। अगली सुनवाई 24 अगस्त को होगी.

🚨Friends, Mr. Manan Kumar Mishra’s Bar Council of India spent 14 CRORES on meetings and conferences in just one year.

Today, he had to withdraw a portion of his outrageous order on NALSAR students within 1 hour. So where and how is this 14 crores being spent?

12 crores was also spent on travel and accommodation.

But what has been the result? If Mr. Mishra is capable of issuing such a draconian order against young students, then what welfare has he been doing for young lawyers and law schools? He’s been in the position since 2012 and will be till 2030.
