@ITBTGoK will shortly convene structured consultations with academia, industry leaders, startups and other stakeholders from Manipal, Udupiand Mangaluru to identify priority sectors, address infrastructure and talent needs and build an action plan with clear timelines. The goal is to accelerate investments, strengthen the startup ecosystem and create high-quality opportunities for youth while positioning the region as a strong growth hub for Karnataka.

News18 Kannada, as part of their annual Rising Karnataka Conclave, hosted an interesting panel discussion this year on the startup ecosystem in Karnataka and how the culture of entrepreneurship can be expanded beyond Bengaluru.

I was invited to be a panelist along with two esteemed personalities - Bharat Chandra, AVP, Startups and Innovation at KDEM, and Kailash Nath, Partner at IdeaSpring Capital.

We had a short but engaging conversation on how the startup and entrepreneurship culture can be spread across Karnataka. I tried to touch upon two things:

1️⃣ The importance of celebrating local entrepreneurs and their stories.
2️⃣ The need to create a layer of entrepreneurial knowledge in Kannada to make the whole idea culturally relatable for people beyond Bengaluru.

ಈ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳ ಸುಸಜ್ಜಿತ ಕೋಚಿಂಗ್ ಸೆಂಟರ್ ತೆರೆಯಲು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಕಲಬುರಗಿ ಹೊರವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು ₹10 ಕೋಟಿ ವೆಚ್ಚದಲ್ಲಿ ಐಎಎಸ್, ಐಪಿಎಸ್, ಕೆಎಎಸ್, ಬ್ಯಾಂಕಿಂಗ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳ ಸುಸಜ್ಜಿತ ತರಬೇತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ತಲೆ ಎತ್ತಿದೆ.

- ಈ ವರ್ಷ ಒಟ್ಟು 500 ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತರಬೇತಿ
- 400 ಕೆಎಎಸ್ ಹಾಗೂ 100 ಐಎಎಸ್ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತರಬೇತಿ
- ಒಟ್ಟು 10 ತಿಂಗಳು ಅವಧಿಯ ತರಬೇತಿ
- ಮುಂದಿನ ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ವಸತಿ ಸಹಿತ ತರಬೇತಿಗೆ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ

ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಭಾಗದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸಲು ತರಬೇತಿ ನೀಡುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬೇಕಾಗುವ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಈ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಹೊಂದಿರುತ್ತದೆ.

After extensive deliberation, the government has approved the Nipuna Karnataka scheme, a collaboration between the government, corporates, and CSR funds to equip youth with the best skills for employment.
