Karnataka Cong Minister Calls Islam “Better” Than Other Religions

Karnataka Minister Basavaraj Rayareddy, speaking at a Muslim community mass marriage programme in Kuknoor, Koppal, called Islam a “great religion” and “better than other religions.”

Rayareddy said misconceptions are being created about Islam and expressed willingness to study the Quran, while stressing the need to understand different religions and their history.

He also said he wishes to visit Mecca and undertake Hajj, but claimed he cannot do so as he is not a Muslim.

There appears to be little reason for @OfficialBMRCL to postpone Pink Line extension up to Nagawara to next year.

As per BMRCL’s own newsletter, only about 6–10% of the work remains on certain stretches, including track laying and associated works.

If that is indeed the case, what is preventing operations from commencing up to MG Road or Nagawara by year-end?

And if the timeline has slipped significantly despite such progress figures, commuters deserve a clearer explanation of the actual status on the ground.
