You must first become knowledgeable then you must become wise.
For when you have wisdom, you don't have doubts. You don't have insecurities. You know exactly what is what even if the whole world is against you.?
Majnun literally went mad with his obsession over Layla and she still married someone else.
This suffices as a lesson to never attach yourself to something that doesn’t belong to you.
Shaykh al-Uthaymeen ﺭﺣﻤﻪ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ said,
“Indeed the advice which Allah has given to His servants from the time of Adam up until now, has been to have taqwa (fear) of Him.”
[The Benefits of Fearing Allah, pg.19]
The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said:
وَجُعِلَتْ قُرَّةُ عَيْنِي فِي الصَّلَاةِ
“The coolness of my eyes was made in salah.”
So who are you to keep making excuses for delaying it?
One of the signs that Allah loves you is when you enjoy doing good deeds,
and one of the signs that you’ve deprived yourself of his love is that you don’t feel guilty when you sin.
Sufyan ath-Thawri رحمه الله said:
“Shaytan has no (better) weapon against the mankind like the weapon of fear of poverty for when it occurs in the heart, it prohibits truth & make him speak from desire & have evil thoughts with regards to his Lord.”
A man told al-Hasan al-Basri (رحمه الله)
“I can't wake up for night prayer, advise me.”
He replied:
“Do not disobey Allah during the day.
The sins you commit in the daytime are chains
that bind you from standing at night.”
When a woman lacks the knowledge of the Deen, She punishes her husband, spoils her children's manners and destroys a nation.
Imam Ibn al-Qayyim (رحمه الله)
“And whoever fears Allah”→ This is the condition!
“He will make for him a way out”→ This is the promise!
“And He will provide for him from where he does not expect”→ This is the reward!
So fulfill the condition to deserve the promise and the reward will follow!
If the fear of Allah is missing from the heart, what prevents a husband from being unjust?
And what prevents a wife from disobedience?
When the fear of Allah is absent, what restrains injustice or disobedience?
Taqwa is the real safeguard in every relationship bro!
If (the night before) Friday coincides with one
of the odd-numbered nights during the last ten
nights, then it is more likely than others (to be Laylat al-Qadr)
Al-Hafidh Ibn Rajab Al-Hanbali (رحمه الله)
May Allah grant us the ability to remember Him properly, thank Him sincerely, and worship Him in the most excellent way, and make us among those who benefit from the last ten nights. Allahuma Ameen!
I looked into how the Sahabah and the Salaf sought Laylatul Qadr.
They didn’t gamble on one night, they devoted themselves to all the last ten nights.
That was their strategy to never miss a night better than 83 years of worship. 1/7
But I'll be exhausted by the 27th if I do that.
No.
That's why they had a sleep strategy:
• Sleep right after Taraweeh
• Wake for the 2nd and last third of night
• Nap after sunrise or in the afternoon.
They protected their energy across all 10 nights. 5/7
If the Night of Qadr was some night during the entire year, I'd stand in night prayer the entire year to get it. So what do you suppose should be done for merely ten nights?
Imam Ibn al-Qayyim (رحمه الله)
