Christian missionaries hardly change anything. I'm not shitting on them, but just pointing an objective fact. Christian missionaries cannot substitute for state capacity.

Before the Indian government launched a massive build up of water pipelines, only 16% of rural households had access to a safe drinking water source. Post the Jal Jeevan Mission, it is up to 82%.

No missionary could have done that. Just not possible.

Missionary work is akin to serving bhandara for Hindus & Sikhs. It's just something they do for their own personal salvation. To portray them as some kind of saviour is like me saying I'm responsible for poverty reduction because I gave ₹500 to a begging person on the street.
