The @broughtonhall Eco-Committee gave up their Sunday and spent it at Hightown Beach Clean! It was amazing the amount of litter we found. It is so important to care for our environment and do what we can. I was so proud of all who came to volunteer! #beachcleanup#environment
An amazing & thought provoking celebration of #Pentecost led by our students & students from @broughtonhall@BHCHS_Chaplain focusing also on the message of Pentecost in the discernment process for @synod2020 Thank you to all at St Margaret Mary's parish for making us so welcome!
We had a fun and lively singing practice with @chrisjmcelroy from @LpoolMetMusic for next week's @wearenugent Good Shepherd Mass at @LiverpoolMet! Looking forward to hearing all the voices together in the cathedral!
We had a beautiful Mass for our Y13s today. We will miss the music and enthusiasm they bring to @broughtonhall. Thanks to @frconor for a wonderful celebration - always a privilege to have you with us! @StVincentsL12 offered their hosting hospitality again - thank you very much!
It was a privilege to facilitate @spcjliverpool@synod2020 meeting last Thursday. It's inspiring to hear people talk about faith and listen to ideas about how we can become the church we are called to be. #synod2020
We enjoyed celebrating a wonderful Mass for @broughtonhall's Y11 girls in the beautifil chapel at @StVincentsL12 - thankyou for having us. Thank you also to @frconor for another inspiring homily (& to 'Sing It In The Valleys' Elvis style!) Our @BHCHSMusic choir were amazing too!!
The Faith in Action is such a wonderful thing for our young people to do. You can help encourage them by moderating their work! It's a simple thing to do - simply read over their final.piece, state what they did well, and encourage them to cerry on their good work! Get involved!
Today's Gospel reading about the Prodigal Son comes at an apt time during Lent this year. If you feel you need to get back on the right path but unsure how, follow the son's lead. Say you're sorry and you will be welcomed with open arms. God's love is always there #ProdigalSon
God is merciful towards us, offering forgiveness for all our sins. But God expects us to be merciful and compassionate to others as well.
As society becomes more divided and polarised, we must look to the things that unite us rather than divide us.
