Meet the Team: Nic Scarce
COO & Co-Founder
Before WandrLust, Nic spent 20+ years working in global brand licensing, product approvals and operations.
At Twentieth Century Fox in London, she managed merchandise and apparel approvals across the UK and Germany for major IP including The Simpsons, Family Guy and other Fox properties.
She was later asked to join Watermelon Global, where she established and led a licensing approvals division working with major licensors including Disney, Warner Bros and Fox for retailers such as M&S and C&A Europe.
Her expertise led to a skilled visa relocation to Australia to strengthen licensing approval operations for a major Sydney licensing agency.
When Nic’s mum visited from the UK and was terrified of Australia’s wildlife, she and Muz (Husband/CEO/Co-founder) set out to build a solution - a “Shazam for animals.” That idea became Critterpedia, an Australian Government-backed (@CSIRO) AI wildlife ID platform.
Through extensive customer research they realised something bigger: people didn’t just want to identify animals, they wanted to reconnect with nature, each other and real life again.
That insight led to a pivot, WandrLust, where Nic is helping build a platform designed to bring adventure back into everyday life and reward real-world presence.
Excited to see @Huostarter hosting the WandrLust $AFK IDO.
