Every player wants to show their abilities. And there’s a time & place for that. But the best teams have players who can put aside what they want for themselves in favor of what the team needs at that moment. That’s the epitome of character. “We” should always come before “Me”!
Congratulations to our 8th grade team, Coach Helms, and Coach Helms for winning the FCA 515 Christmas Clash tournament at Blue Ridge!

We’re building something special this year - a lot of hoops can be taught, but loving your teammates and being there for each other can’t.
The #purplereign culture is growing by the day!

As part of a team you have to realize that sometimes you’ll be on the bench. When that happens you have 2 options: you can either sit & wait your turn or you can be active & engaged in helping your TEAM win. You can encourage others or be selfish. There’s really only one option!
Show coaches that you welcome/accept coaching with these buy-in signs:
Good eye contact
Good body language
Talking in practice/games
Being quick to praise
Enjoying the process
Being coachable
Knowing the system
Competing
Nodding
Listening
High energy
Respecting coaches/teammates
Walk off double by @addisonpeck3 scores @mandiperetti with 2 outs in the bottom of the 8th and the Lady Raiders win 2-1 over South Paulding. Our next game will be at around 6:30 vs the winner of Lassiter and Creekview.
The obstacle you are facing is as big or as small as you make it. How you view it determines how (or if) you get through it.
Perspective is a competitive advantage.
Effective communication is more than just speaking to a listener. It’s not about how you speak. It’s about how they listen. Communication happens when you understand how others hear & speak to them in the way they listen. Communication isn’t one size fits all. Know your listener.
The point of HS sports isn’t getting a college scholarship. It’s learning cooperation, respect, loyalty, communication, being a good person & working with others in good times & bad. If a scholarship comes from that, great. But either way, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
Redline came to the #EYESeriesWhoGotNext focused on winning the championship. They took the opportunity to withstand the competition in route to winning the title. #EarnYourElite
