Already clear from the Israeli and American messaging:
This is not a 'limited strike' tactical approach. This is the real, big, all out war to end the Islamic Republic of Iran and Iran as an independent country.
This is the end of days scenario I've been talking about for over 2 years. We're still a bit in shock and not getting it, but this is it (hi to all the 'nothing ever happens' accounts).
This is probably going to last months. They are going to attack everything in Iran, as they have been planning to do for many years. And we will all witness what Iran prepared for this day - the day it has to fight for its life against the collective West. I think it's going to be awe-inspiring.
But this is it. The old Middle East is dead (as the genocide told us many days ago). The results of this war will determine how the new West Asia looks: free, or colonized.
I say free
It’s been funny seeing two of the most supposed “composed” players in Europe, in Wirtz & Zubimendi struggle to adapt to the intensity/speed of the PL.
This league is ferocious.
The lack of trust in their ability to retain under pressure (when isolated) causes rushed actions, panic and mistakes.
If you play with larger distances and don’t offer these guys more obvious passing options, expect these kind of moments.
They killed Enzo Fernandez for this when he arrived, & he was in much more dysfunctional/disorganised teams & setups.
AND STILL he never hid from the ball, took it on anywhere and continues to do so till today.
You have to respect him. It’s not easy.
Big darg character.
Tuchel walked in mid season, replaced Lampard, and delivered top 4 and a Champions League in months, that's what a real upgrade looks like. Most of our fans live in the moment and get brainwashed way too easily, pure sheep mentality. My approach never changes, I don't back any gaffer until I see silverware. If you don't deliver, you're simply not the standard. With the money we've spent, results aren't negotiable, they're the bare minimum. I didn't even like Maresca but he still hit his targets in year one. Rosenior is being sold to us as an upgrade, so expectations rise with him, top 4 and an FA Cup minimum. Win or pget in the bin, nothing else counts.
@ebehdad
@LKCOYB For me its the thing he does when hes not involved in play. Its his walk when resting. Always like a walk in a park. Not scanning to be ready for next pass. First touch never ready to pass ahead being so 1 footed.
Hate his body language. Never ready just like madueke.
I’m sure you’ve read the quotes, but I’ve just properly listened to Maresca’s post-match presser and I’m immensely proud of our gaffer. I don’t think he’s taking a dig at the fans, hierarchy or anybody in particular. He’s just being blatantly honest and protecting his players, which is exactly what we want to see. He’s always been composed in these pressers, but will also have a few moments where he’s very blunt and I think these comments were necessary in this moment.
You can’t ride the highs (World Champions) and then jump ship during the lows (winless in four). It’s weak, spineless and toxic. Back our beautiful Club. Back our Gaffer. Back our players.
