A forensic report submitted to Mumbai Police has found traces of zinc phosphide – a highly toxic chemical commonly used in rat poison in both the watermelon consumed by a family of four and their viscera samples. Officials said the substance was likely sprinkled onto the cut fruit before it was eaten.

The family from Mumbai’s Pydhonie area died within hours of consuming the watermelon on April 25. Police said they are now probing all angles, including whether the deaths were accidental, suicidal or homicidal.

International peace activist and President of the Global Peace Initiative, Dr. K. A. Paul, held a crucial peace meeting today at 1 PM in New Delhi with the representative of the supreme leader of Islamic Dr.Abdul Hakim Ilaihi meeting, Dr. Paul urged world leaders including President Donald Trump, President of Iran, and Benjamin Netanyahu to immediately declare a 72-hour ceasefire to allow urgent peace negotiations.

Dr. Paul stated that since February 5, 2026, he has been meeting with U.S. and international leaders and working tirelessly to prevent what he described as a dangerous war that could destabilize the Middle East and the world.

He called on all parties to give diplomacy a chance and said the temporary ceasefire could open the door for historic peace talks between Iran, Israel, and the United States.
