First of all it’s just my opinion so if you don’t like this post you can just ignore it
If anybody wants to learn Esperanto I think it’s helpful to learn some basic European grammar and vocabulary first because Esperanto has a strong bias toward European languages as I said
I think Esperanto can be quite hard to learn without that kind of background
So if someone is simply interested in an international auxiliary language I would recommend Lojban instead
I’m curious why you’re curious how someone can be interested in Esperanto without already being familiar with the basic features of many European languages. Do you think people are supposed to study several European languages before they’re allowed to be interested in Esperanto?
I’m curious how someone interested in an international auxiliary language like Esperanto doesn’t know such a basic feature of many European languages
Also I don’t think Esperanto is the best choice for an international auxiliary language because of its strong European (especially Germanic) bias
I’d recommend Lojban instead
I’m using my psychic powers…
I can already see some Msakari-ojisan replying like “Don’t use unencrypted protocols like FTP or HTTP You should encrypt your communications”
I don't think that's true because the Japanese has been borrowing foreign words for a long time
And if the localization rate is really a good indicator of a country's economic momentum just look at Iceland
(It used to have one of the strongest economies in the world lol)
I just found out that Niantic’s Pokémon “inspired” game Peridot will shut down in August 2026 (only the mobile phone version is shutting down the AR version will remain available)
