Salvador Dalí’s 1942 poster created for the U.S. Army’s campaign against venereal diseases.
In 1942, the U.S. Army recruited Salvador Dalí to design a powerful public health poster warning soldiers about the risks of venereal diseases. Instead of using a traditional slogan-based approach, Dalí relied on his surrealist style and the optical illusion technique known as the paranoiac-critical method to deliver the message.
At first glance, the artwork appears to depict two women wearing stockings and garter belts standing beneath a glowing structure. However, when viewed from a distance, the image reveals a hidden human skull. The women’s heads become the skull’s eye sockets, while their legs create the appearance of teeth, forming a disturbing visual connection between sexual temptation, illness, and mortality.
By using a striking psychological image designed to engage the subconscious, the Army aimed to make its warning more memorable to soldiers than conventional wartime health campaigns.
If you use Windows 11, you need to read this right now.
Your PC is logging every website you visit. Every app you open. Every file you create. Every word you type.
Microsoft turned it all on by default. And with the new Recall feature, it is now taking screenshots of your screen every few seconds and storing them.
The switches are scattered across settings Microsoft made deliberately hard to find.
Here are 6 moves to shut it off: 🧵
Move 6: Audit App Permissions
Every app installed on your Windows 11 PC has been granted a stack of permissions it may not need. Background access. Contacts. Calendar. Documents folder. Downloads folder.
- Settings → Privacy & Security → scroll through every permission category
- Background apps → turn off for every app that does not need to run in the background
- Documents, Downloads, Pictures → review which apps have access → remove everything unnecessary
- Contacts and Calendar → same process
This takes 10 minutes. Most people discover apps they forgot they installed still have access to their files and contacts. Revoke everything you do not actively use.
It is quite satisfying to watch the antelope loudly proclaim its friendship with the leopard. But the entire savanna knows, that this friendship has never existed anywhere but in the mind of the predator searching for a more comfortable way to feed, and that of a prey so foolish it has mistaken the beauty of those spots for something other than the last thing it will ever see..
You didn't lose her. She lost you. Because what did you really lose? A woman who can't communicate? A woman who gets mad when you express your feelings? A woman who entertains other men? An emotionally unavailable woman? No, you didn't lose anything of value. You gained the freedom to find someone who truly values and
respects you, who can communicate effectively, and who is emotionallv available. You gained everything by letting go of a woman who never deserved you in the first place... ✌🏻
"Sen şu an ruhunun kışını yaşıyorsun. Ve kışın ortasında bir ağaca neden meyve vermiyorsun diye kızamazsın. Bu adaletsizlik olur. Kendine karşı bu kadar adaletsiz olma. Şu an hiçbir şeyden zevk almıyor oluşun, bir daha asla almayacağın anlamına gelmez; sadece şu an 'nadas' döneminde olduğun anlamına gelir."Boğazımdaki düğümün biraz gevşediğini hissettim++

Intelligent people struggle with addiction. Their minds need more. They have obsessions nobody around them shares. Philosophy. Astronomy. Dostoevsky. Jazz. Quantum physics. Things they know deeply. Things they've gone so deep into that anything else feel like small talk. And small talk feels like suffocation. So... they drink. Work until 2 am. Doomscroll until they're numb. Because there is a gap. A gap between who you are and the conversations available to you. And it's one of the loneliest places a person can live.
The loudest thing you'll ever do is go quiet. No explanation. No goodbye text. Just... disappear from certain people's lives like power during thunderstorms.
you cannot make sense to a person who only comprehends things at their own level of perception. no matter how much you explain, argue, or try. save your energy.
Gulf Energy limited is owned by Francis Koome Njogu.
Gulf Energy imports 3/4 of fuel consumed in Kenya through G2G deal.
Francis Njogu is William Ruto's best friend.
Roseline Njogu, the PS Diaspora Affairs, is the daughter of Francis Njogu.
That should tell you everything you need to know about the G2G deal.

I love numbers. Numbers do not lie. They bare open what words cannot express.
The White House annual operating budget is $16 million. Roughly 2 billion Kenyan shillings.
To run the most powerful residence on earth. For 330 million people.
Kenya's State House budget is 16.9 billion shillings. For 60 million people.
We spend eight times more than the White House to run State House.
Eight times! 2 times four!
That same 16.9 billion would buy 16,900 specialized ICU beds.
We currently have 900, with only 100-150 functioning.
Women are still delivering by phone torch.
Patients have no food and KNH oxygen plant is broken.
Nurses striking over salary issues but online goons are swimming in handouts to sanitise evil.
The most powerful country on earth runs its presidency for 2 billion.
The same president who told us to tighten our belts is spending eight White Houses on himself.
It is evident that he told us to tighten our belts. He forgot to mention which ones of us he was talking about.
The numbers have spoken.
