This Friday, the Diocese of Birmingham will mark the Solemnity of St. Joseph at the Cathedral of St. Paul. Canon Law indicates that Friday penance is not required when a Solemnity falls on a Friday (canon 1251). All Catholics may enjoy meat in his honor that day!
