The Ethanol Scam!

OMCs pay 5% GST on ethanol & pass on that 5% cost to you as there is no INPUT TAX CREDIT on Petrol in which they blend Ethanol.

Despite passing on the GST tax burden on you; the government charges VAT not just on 80% petrol but also on top of the 5% GST for the 20% Ethanol, which is already tax paid by you!

So on 20% Ethanol you pay 5% GST plus tax on top of that GST! This is criminal double taxation!!

We are Told the Ethanol blending policy is to save our money! TEAM BHARAT has always said & now proved that Ethanol at ₹72/ litre is more expensive than refined petrol at ₹52/litre.

And while you pay ₹102/litre for Ethanol 20 blended Petrol, the subsidiesgo to Ethanol distilleries under the BETA BADHAO YOJNA.

Also as Ethanol is diverted to our vehicles, INDIA has to Import Ethanol from the US for industries!

If you compare two issues, NEET paper leak and Ethanol blending.

on NEET alteast Govt is ready to listen to concerns, doing some investigation in paper leak, conducted re NEET and results also declared.

But compare it with Govt's stance on Ethanol policy.

> Putting E20 in non compatible vehicles
> Ethanol reducing mileage still not reducing the petrol price
> Asking people to buy pure petrol at 50% higher price than E20 petrol
> Not ready to talk and address public concerns especially about non compatible vehicles.

The approach of ministers towards public concerns is totally full of arrogance in Ethanol policy case.

I think before Dharmendra Pradhan, Gadkari and puri should be sacked but that's not happening because only difference is that Ethanol is mostly affecting to working class and they can't sit on protest otherwise who will pay their EMI and bills.

The government is conning us on the Ethanol Blending policy. The earlier claims that due to Ethanol petrol price will come down to ₹15/litre was a lie!

Now we know Ethanol costs approximately ₹70-72/ litre & presently is more expensive than Petrol....

The subsidies go to the Ethanol distilleries.

So who benefits from the Ethanol 20 policy?

While expensive Ethanol is belended with Petrol & we pay ₹102/ litre under the BETA BADHAO YOJNA it is the Ethanol distilleries that get subsidies!
