becoming less reactive is a huge part of growth, and decreasing stress. if you let everything get you worked up, you're damaging your mind, body, and spirit.
The quickest way to “get your spark back” is to literally light yourself on fire. You’ve got to burn baby. You’re depressed bc you’re not being insane enough. Double. Down. The world does not reward half ass. All in or out. You’re thinking too small. You’ve accepted your current reality as the only reality. Bullshit. You need to write a list of the most insane asks you could ever dream of. “I am a NYT best selling author. I am the founder of a Fortune 500 company. I paint for a living and I make a damn good living.” Ask and you shall receive. Embody and you become. Flip the fucking script. Your current ceiling is now the floor. Level up.
You need to burn.
IF WE LEARN ANYTHING ABOUT THESE HEATWAVES LET IT BE THAT WE NEED TO MAKE OUR CITIES GREENER. PLANT SOME TREES. BUILD A PARK. WE NEED MORE GREEN SPACES.
The wildest part about POVERTY is how much time it steals. Waiting for buses. Calling assistance offices. Comparing grocery prices. Fighting insurance. Sitting at laundromats. Being poor is a second job nobody pays you for.
I was depressed for MONTHS, no one noticed. Remained good to others even while not knowing how to be good to me. I don't believe in excuses for being a shitty person. Ever. We all going through shit.
l've tasted being a great employee, and I've also tasted being the hero at work. I highly recommend doing the bare minimum at work, getting paid, and going home.
Singapore’s F&B scene be like this. Like just cus you have shit outside of work that you be dealing with, doesn’t mean you can take it out on us lol.
