Bihar Showcases Its GCC Vision at CII GCC Business Summit 2026

Shri Kundan Kumar, @kundan_ias Secretary, Department of Industries, Government of Bihar, participated in a high-level closed-door roundtable discussion with senior government secretaries, policymakers, and leading Global Capability Centre (GCC) industry representatives at the CII GCC Business Summit 2026.

The deliberations focused on strengthening Centre -State collaboration, creating future-ready policy frameworks, developing a skilled talent ecosystem, and enabling emerging states to play a greater role in India's rapidly expanding GCC landscape.

The discussion also explored strategies to promote innovation, digital infrastructure, and ease of doing business for the next phase of GCC growth.

Following the roundtable, he presented Bihar Global Capability Center (GCC) Policy 2026 before leading industrialists, investors, and policymakers.

Highlighting Bihar's competitive advantages including its young and skilled workforce, strategic location, improving infrastructure, industry-friendly reforms, and proactive governance, he showcased "Why Bihar is the Preferred Destination for GCCs."

The presentation underlined the state's vision to emerge as a preferred investment destination for Global Capability Centres, fostering innovation, technology-led growth, high-value employment, and a globally competitive business ecosystem.

Strengthening Global Investment Partnerships

A delegation from the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) Congress  @AIM_Congress 2026, comprising Shri Marc Tarrago Galceran, Director, and Shri Mukesh Arora, India Representative, met Shri Kundan Kumar @kundan_ias, Secretary, Industries Department, Government of Bihar, to discuss opportunities for strengthening global investment collaboration.

उद्योग निदेशक श्री मुकुल कुमार गुप्ता की अध्यक्षता में राज्य निवेश प्रोत्साहन बोर्ड ( SIPB) सचिवालय की 120वीं बैठक सफलतापूर्वक संपन्न हुई। यह बैठक हाइब्रिड मोड में संपन्न हुई, जो राज्य की 'EODB' की ओर एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है।

बैठक में कुल 28 परियोजनाओं को स्टेज-1 क्लीयरेंस (₹676.72 करोड़) तथा 02 परियोजनाओं को वित्तीय प्रोत्साहन क्लीयरेंस (₹98.32 करोड़) प्रदान की गई।

PM GatiShakti: Powering Bihar's Infrastructure Growth.

The Department of Industries, Government of Bihar, organised a one-day awareness workshop on the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan at the BIRSAC Auditorium, Patna, to strengthen the effective implementation of the National, State and District Master Plans and enhance the capacity of officials from various departments.

The workshop was inaugurated by Shri Aman Samir, Director, MSME, Department of Industries, who highlighted PM Gati Shakti as a transformative initiative for integrated infrastructure development, enabling faster project execution, improved inter-departmental coordination and data-driven planning.

Experts from BISAG-N and BIRSAC conducted technical sessions covering the vision and objectives of the PM Gati Shakti platform, Jan Parichay, Single Sign-On (SSO), Data Upload Management System (DUMS), the Bihar State Master Plan Portal, and practical use cases related to infrastructure, social sector planning and District Master Plans.

Organised in collaboration with BISAG-N, Gujarat and BIRSAC, the workshop equipped officials with the knowledge and digital tools required to promote coordinated infrastructure planning and accelerate sustainable development across Bihar.

PM GatiShakti: Powering Bihar's Infrastructure Growth.

The Directorate of MSME, Department of Industries, Government of Bihar is organizing a One-Day Awareness Workshop on PM Gati Shakti – National Master Plan (NMP), State Master Plan (SMP) & District Master Plan (DMP).

The workshop aims to strengthen institutional capacity, promote integrated planning, and enhance the effective use of the Data Upload Management System (DUMS) for faster, more efficient, and data-driven infrastructure development across Bihar.

This workshop is being organized with the valuable support of BISAG-N, Gujarat and BIRSAC, Department of Science, Technology & Technical Education, Government of Bihar.
