19 out of 25. Extremely grateful to receive the 19th OECD Formal Opinion from the Environment Policy Committee, one of the most complex sectoral Commitees, covering 1/3 of the accession instruments. A big step for Romania in its @OECD accession journey.

It was a great pleasure to welcome OECD Secretary-General @MathiasCormann to Bucharest at a crucial moment in Romania’s accession process.

We discussed Romania’s progress on the path to @OECD membership and I assured him that all Romanian authorities are fully determined and committed towards this strategic goal. This alignment with the highest international standards brings long-term benefits to our citizens. Joining the OECD supports our current priorities: advancing reforms, ensuring stability, and building a solid economic environment that fosters investment. I reaffirmed our commitment to conclude the accession process and to join the OECD by 2026.

Beyond accession, Romania is determined to contribute to promoting OECD standards in these challenging times for multilateralism, for the benefit of our region and the wider international community.

I stressed the role of the accession process for the modernization of 🇷🇴 Romania, which is well advancing. I shared with peer candidate countries lessons learned throughout this process, which have been key in our transfomational journey.

📷 Ministerul Afacerilor Externe precizează că orice afirmații privind organizarea deficitară a alegerilor în străinătate pentru Președintele României sunt false. Acestea reprezintă încercări grave și flagrante de manipulare a alegătorilor români din afara granițelor 📷României. Aceste afirmații nu au nicio bază în realitate și sunt menite să genereze neîncredere și ostilitate.
Cetățenii români din străinătate votează în bune condiții, votul are loc pe durata a trei zile, iar problemele punctuale aparute au fost rezolvate de reprezentanții comisiilor electorale și de BESVS.
📷 MAE reamintește și că toate partidele au posibilitatea să își desemneze, în secțiile de votare din străinătate, membri și/sau observatori.
📷 MAE a propus AEP un număr de 965 de secții de vot, cu 15 mai multe față de alegerile prezidențiale din 2024, la cererea cetățenilor români din străinătate. Au fost transmise 3.600.000 de buletine de vot, un număr, de asemenea, record (https://t.co/ygJV2ZaALJ).
Organizarea secțiilor a fost stabilită, la propunerea MAE, prin Hotărârea AEP nr. 19/2025 cu modificările ulterioare, iar lista cu adresele secțiilor de vot este disponibilă pe site-ul MAE (https://t.co/TN0hQMebJi) și diseminată inclusiv prin multiple soluții digitale, unele dezvoltate de societatea civilă, accesibile publicului pentru a facilita informarea în timp real, iar misiunile diplomatice și oficiile consulare ale României comunică aceste informații către cetățeni.
MAE mai precizează că în cadrul Biroului Electoral pentru secțiile de votare din străinătate au reprezentanți toate partidele politice, informațiile circulând în timp real, direct de la reprezentanții lor din comisiile electorale. Astfel, toți actorii politici au cunoștință că la acest moment nu există niciun element real care ar putea să împiedice participarea cetățenilor români la vot.
