@ColoradoOhio Not all disabilities are created equal. Some Down syndrome adults are able to work and live happily. Others are not and they die young with severe and complex health problems. It very much can be horribly severe.
@McJuggerNuggets I’m on your side for the decision but also you could’ve just made that decision privately. Your medical choices aren’t the internet’s business.
@Hoyvin2@oliviacola Yes I commented because I DO give a fuck that she thinks all people need to make the same choice as HER. I don’t care that she carried her fetus to term, same way that I don’t care that they had an abortion. I do care when people think that their choice must be everyone’s.
@GX4600@DBrunoMedia@McJuggerNuggets Also sorry coming back to this, I have told people in my life if I were to suffer some kind of accident and become permanently mentally disabled (and I mean severely), I would not want to be alive anymore because that’s not me. That’s a shell.
@shortmagsmle literally what would them having a Down syndrome baby achieve? how would that impact society in any way? why do you have to fight these battles you think are divinely sent to you by a mythical person in the sky? That’s literally so stupid.
@TheOffsideAngle@oliviacola annoyed doesn’t mean giving a fuck. I DON’T care that she carried her fetus to term. I also don’t care that they aborted theirs. What I do care about is acting like because she made a choice, everyone else has to make the same choice.
@SanchezMamacita@The_Epic_Mike@TheDude03375646 There was a school for the severely disabled where I’m from and those kids were always wheelchair bound, couldn’t communicate, couldn’t use the restroom, constantly screaming and moaning. If someone actually thinks they’re “happy” they’re straight up liars lmao.
