I was selected for an "Emerging Scientist Award" from #ScientificLaurels, but I'm asked to pay ₹5,400 to receive it. I assumed the fee would cover the award ceremony, trophy, or conference proceedings. After looking into it, I found the award is administered by #PeritusHiveResearch&Innovations, a legally registered private organization for Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), MSME, GST, and ISO certification, not a government science academy or recognized scientific society. I also couldn't find clear details about the review committee or evaluation process.
With 1,100+ awardees worldwide, I'm wondering: Would you pay?
If I receive this award, would it be a valuable credential to include on my CV? #awareness

#GuruPurnima is the day when we show our respect to all the divine “#Gurus” who have shaped our lives. It is not that only this day is dedicated to showing respect to them, but at least on one day, we can remember our primary school teacher who taught us, “সদা সত্য কথা বলিবে" Sada satya kotha bolibe” (always speak the truth).

Nowadays, education is nothing but a business, and all of us, including teachers, students, administrators, recruiters, presidents, and directors are part of this system, especially in the private education sectors. I urge the #EducationMinister to provide instructions, at least for private educational institutions, to celebrate “Guru Purnima.”

The bitter truth is that a large fraction of students is turning into “#cockroaches” day by day, degrading society from its very roots. #Harsh, #uncomfortable, but true. @EduMinOfIndia @narendramodi
