I learned you simply cannot be friends with ppl you have more than. And NO, not materialistic things. But, more morals, more values, more AURA…. Ppl will hate you for sh!t money can’t buy! You literally have to surround yourself with your kind.
Denmark just passed a law that every person owns a copyright to their own face, voice, and body. In the age of AI, this places more legal control in a person's hands, and there are real, large consequences and fines for breaking this law.
We need to make this worldwide.
what a beautiful gift it is to hit rock bottom. to be striped of any and all pride, ego, and false responsibility. to be left with nothing but possibility. a chance to climb upwards and make anew what once seemed impossible. every man, at one point in his life, could benefit from the raw, pure, and radically humbling experience of being left with nothing to realize that everything is possible.
Life could be SO damn easy. Half the food goes to waste, enough clothes for six generations rotting in storage, ancestors already broke their bodies building this shit. Instead we suffer while 8 men control half the world’s wealth. Make it make sense.
This is why you should not work on weekends or one minute past official work hours. Work can and should wait. It’s not that urgent.
Your coworkers and managers will be too busy to attend your funeral, but guess who will be there? You wife/husband and children. The same people you did not prioritise.
To my 25-35 year olds, this is the age bracket where most people start to settle and give up on themselves. They plateau, they slow down, they become highly skeptical, they think it’s too late to pursue a goal. Never let their mindset infect yours. You can do anything at any age if you want.
Keep your problems smaller than your life. A flat tire is a flat tire. A bad meeting is a bad meeting. A canceled flight is just an extra two hours. These things become catastrophes when you let them. But they stay manageable when you remember the depth of your real life- the people you love, the work you care about, the beautiful years still ahead. Zoom out. Fit your reaction to the size of the problem.
Every time I worked in a place that had anything close to a toxic boss, I was always the one to stand up to them and walk away.
I remember a side gig I had were I was the only person who was paid December salary because I became a thorn in the flesh for 'management'. Every other person got a silly excuse to hang in there till January.
I think what contributed to my 'stubbornness' was the way I was raised. Growing up, my brother and I used to argue with my father, from sports to politics and everything in between. The arguments were usually very heated and sometimes my mother will check in to see it it had not turned into a fight. We respected our father but he taught us to be men and never cower to anybody.
This is why when my then boss tried to justify unpaid salaries in a virtual meeting by saying some civil servants are also owed salaries, I lost my cool, switched on my camera so he could see my face and called him out right there in the meeting.
I resigned twice while I briefly worked there. The first time they paid me my salary, the second time I refused to go back to work when I got my salary for two months at once. I will do my job to the best of my ability and adhere strictly to the terms of the employment contract. However if you have reservations or I don’t meet expectations, we must have that conversation like two reasonable human beings.
Maybe this is why I don’t have a 'mentor' or someone I look up to other then my own father. I cannot idolise another human being who is just like me or fear them to the point where I deliberately allow disrespect.
I hear people say that some toxic bosses would even insult their wives while lashing out unprintable words at them. The greatest form of disrespect you can ever face as a man is letting someone say shit about the women in your life. Women and children are usually taken as spoils of war. If someone else is bold enough to come after your wife and children under any circumstance, it means they already took you out in their mind. You are inconsequential. No salary is worth this type of emasculation.
Nigerians have been completely lobotomized and systematically brainwashed to believe that our once-thriving state manufacturing industries in the 1970s, 1980s, and early 2000s were auctioned off and sold to Western corporate cartels and private oligarchs simply because they were inherently bloated, ineffective, and riddled with corruption. This narrative is completely inaccurate and deeply misleading. 1/8
You guys are so scared to become your parents when parenting your children that you decided to not parent at all.
Your kids are monsters with no manners, you still have time to change that.
Bro people look down on drug addicts while they're addicted to their phone, food, a person and have a drinking problem. We're all dabbling in escapism, yours is just more socially acceptable
I was a computer trainee from 2021 till 2023
First 2 weeks, I connected to office wifi, I thought it's a free one 🥲
Then he just come one day and ask us who's using pouvoir 2, I stood up innocently and ask me to bring my phone, I gave him and he said I should bring 20k...
Being disliked by people with ugly spirits is protection. I have no desire to be connected to people who operate from jealousy, wickedness, negativity, entitlement, manipulation or a lack of integrity. Life is spiritual. Not every heart is safe to stay connected to..
