I am deeply saddened and shocked by the sudden demise of Mawuena Adzo Trebarh.

I have been closely associated with the Dumor family for many years, and so Mawuena’s passing is not just a loss to Prof. Dumor and the entire family but also my own family.

Mawuena has left an indelible mark in the corporate and public sectors of Ghana. She will be greatly missed.

May the good Lord give her eternal rest.

Alan Kyerematen on the establishment of a Traders Bank when elected.

I will uplift the lives of traders, those who play a significant role in providing our staples and feeding the many homes in our various communities. I believe that we can achieve this by establishing a Traders Bank in Ghana, which will cater to the needs of traders and market women. This bank will ensure that they have access to credit and loan facilities, which are essential for the sustainability of their businesses.

It is heart-wrenching to witness the devastating effect of the fire outbreak in Madina on the traders' livelihoods. We must take action to ensure that such incidents do not occur again.

Under the Great Transformational Plan(GTP), I am committed to revolutionizing the retail market infrastructure in our country by building well-structured modern market centres that are equipped with facilities like clinics, childcare centres, and modern company lorry parks among others to serve the communities.

I believe that by supporting the private sector through incentives to construct the market and regulate it, we can make it affordable for ordinary traders. Together, we can provide safe work environments for all persons and ensure progress and development under the #JobsandCashEconomy.
