My dad died recently and there's been a lot of complicated feelings about it (not a good dad, went no contact about 5 years ago) but his sister wrote his obituary (a nice one even) which he would have LOATHED WITH ALL HIS BEING so that brings a little levity to the situation
A town dedicated to Halloween, love lost, dead parents, escaping the clutches of loved ones who are no good, letting go of everything you thought you knew about yourself, and becoming a god and destroying everything and finding some fucking peace.

Big round of applause for GRIND YOUR BONES TO DUST by Nicholas Day. I've never read a book that best captures a nightmare that turns into another nightmare into another. In the entire book maybe 2 good things happen? Couldn't help thinking of Blood Meridian while reading
In the hospital with my kid (he’s stable and doing well) and I’m just amazed at how every single staff member has been so kind, and doing everything to make sure he’s improving and comfortable and it’s basically the complete opposite of what I’m used to?
My dad is possibly on his deathbed and the guy figured this was a good time to try a last ditch effort to reconcile with me and my brother by....telling us if we want in his will we would have to earn it
I haven't talked to him in about 5 years, 2 or 3 for my brother which he broke this morning to find out what was going on that made him send vague but concerning texts to our mom. (Neither of us have him blocked, and he has our contact info)
I rarely get on here anymore, but every now and then I pop on for a short scroll and every time it's some wild ass shit. The vibes are fucked but that's also the appeal
@horrorsong Ive never been deterred by temps, I just check the road conditions online. Growing up we always kept a couple blankets in the car during winter just in case we broke down
Today is an incredible milestone: NEGATIVE SPACE by B.R. Yeager has officially reached 10,000 copies sold. The passion that readers have for this book is absolutely extraordinary, and we can’t thank you all enough for the support! It’s been quite a wonderful and surreal journey.
