@davidoncricket @butcher_roland One of my first games, remember it well. Not sure ct Downton is correct though?

@bagga_buntyy A full toss and a half volley? Spin magic?

[Martin Bicknell @bickers1969]

So proud of the Surrey boys rejecting plans to dilute the Championship further. Players will generally take the easier option so no surprise they opted for less games. Very poor arguments too, it’s not about welfare at all 💶

No words needed #Testcricket

[Huw Turbervill @huwzat]

This is why the modern Test schedule is not fit for purpose. Sides should be fielding their strongest XIs, i.e Bumrah, Archer etc. The rest period between England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 v India 🇮🇳 4th and 5th Tests totally inadequate. What are we doing to Test cricket? Utter folly

[Martin Bicknell @bickers1969]

Test Cricket. The Rolls Royce of all our great game. Please stop serving me up the slop of the Mickey Mouse format

When does the money we are giving Ukraine actually run out? This war won’t end, who keeps paying for it?

[Martin Bicknell @bickers1969]

You, my friend are a grade one fool

[BladeoftheSun @BladeoftheS]

This man will inherit £6m which he will have to pay just £0.6m Inheritance Tax on over 10 years.

He thinks he should inherit £6m for free, and so should all his children and so on forever.

Because he is special, he's a farmer.

[Martin Bicknell @bickers1969]

Anyone taking 292 wickets at Test level is special, no debate

[cricketingview @cricketingview]

It took Kallis 51 Tests to reach 3145 runs. Took Warne 145 Tests to get there - 2.8 times the number of Tests.

It took Warne 63 Tests to get 292 wkts. Took Kallis 166 Tests to there. - 2.6 times the number of Tests.

Yet, Kallis's 292 wkts makes him as good as as spec. bowler?

[Martin Bicknell @bickers1969]

Having played against Kallis he was without doubt the best all rounder of the generation, bowled 90mph also so that would suggest his bowling was far superior than Warne’s batting. Warne was a generational player, but so was Kallis

[cricketingview @cricketingview]

Nobody will ever say, "Shane Warne is the best cricket that's ever played. I don't care. 700 wickets, 37 fivefers, 3000 runs. Either one of those careers is outstanding"
Warne the batter was a useful as Kallis the bowler
Warne the bowler was vastly better than Kallis the bat

[Martin Bicknell @bickers1969]

Don’t forget the penny off a pint in the budget also, good work 🙄

[UK Prime Minister @10DowningStreet]

This government is putting more money in your pocket with a pay rise from April for millions of working people.

That is our Plan for Change in action.

[Martin Bicknell @bickers1969]

Michael, with all due respect this has nothing to do with The Hundred, it’s about a stake in the 20/20 world franchise which the Hundred will morph into. The Hundred is a dead duck

[Michael Vaughan @MichaelVaughan]

So it’s looks like 145m will go to the ECB for a 49% stake in the London spirit … Still think the 100 is a failure !!!!! That’s now 245m to the game for just 3 franchises … !!!!

[Martin Bicknell @bickers1969]

For anyone (Aussies) complaining India are over the top in their approach to Sam Konstas, didn’t play against Australia in the 80’s and 90’s. Off the chart intimidation.

[Martin Bicknell @bickers1969]

Isn’t a purpose built theatre, a theatre?

[Will Hutton @williamnhutton]

Extraordinary insight into the wealth of our private schools. Do pupils need Steinway pianos, purpose built theatres, groomed polo pitches? Paying VAT long overdue. It’s not just tax. Private school fees are rising in a facilities ‘arms race’ via @FT

Money, money, money,
Always money,
Infantino’s world.

[Martin Bicknell @bickers1969]

As I was a bowler, it’s impossible to be this far over the line without something odd going on. #💶💶
