[Exclusive] Jang Kiyong to appear in Korean-Japanese Joint Drama 반도에서 나가라 (literal title Leave the Peninsula)!!

Actor Jang Kiyong is expected to join the Korean-Japanese joint drama 반도에서 나가라.

According to the findings of Xports News today, Jang Kiyong is currently considering an appearance in the upcoming drama 'Leave the Peninsula', which is scheduled to be released on Amazon Prime.

Leave the Peninsula is based on the Japanese novel of the same title. Written by renowned Japanese author Ryu Murakami, the novel was published in 2005 and won the Noma Literary Prize and the Mainichi Publishing Culture Award that same year.

The original story depicts events that unfold when North Korean special forces soldiers occupy a Japanese island. It was also a work that director Kwak Kyungtaek had sought to adapt into a film in 2006, shortly after the novel was published in Korea.

Jang Kiyong's next project is the MBC Friday-Saturday drama The Rules of the Line (라인의 법칙), which is scheduled to air next year. Attention is now focused on whether he will also take on the role of the male lead in 'Leave the Peninsula.'

Meanwhile, 'Leave the Peninsula' will be produced as a Korean-Japanese joint drama, with shooting scheduled to begin in Japan early next year!😲👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
