@TJNakata@GraceRandolph She thinks it's just words coming out. It's a lot more than that. It's horrible and very painful spasms that take away the ability to do something else. Grace is just ignorant about it. It's obvious.
@MaxkwTet@eaglewings73@MikeWingerii Appealing to the atonement here is a category error. Jesus’ sacrifice doesn’t dilute leaders’ accountability; His warning about millstones intensifies it. Grace for sinners does NOT equal immunity for abusers or negligent shepherds.
@MaxkwTet@eaglewings73@MikeWingerii Cathy is talking about the responsibility leaders have according to Scripture (i.e., we're not only responsible for our own sin as you claim), and you change the subject to the atonement of Christ? You can't make up this stuff.
@MitchMi68122792@RisingDisciples Mind if I ask, who holds Calvinism in such a way that you, Calvinists, feel properly represented and don't feel that urge to tell us they doesn't represent y'all as Calvinists every time we question one of their claims?
This is a false dichotomy. “Beyond God’s direct control” doesn’t mean outside His power or decree; it means God can sovereignly permit real creaturely agency without causally determining every act. You’re defining sovereignty as meticulous control, then forcing everyone else to accept the definition.
@DPGBehler@5solas It's crazy. It's begging the question so hard. I mean, the circular reasoning is ridiculously obvious to the point his argument becomes unfalsifiable, and yet he thinks it's a good, logical, and perfectly reasonable argument 🤦
You can't make this stuff up.
@DPGBehler I stopped interacting with him years ago. He usually doesn't know what he's talking about but will die on every hill he encounters (or creates himself). I'd rather spend a whole day talking to an honest open theist than with Ricardo. And I mean, ANY DAY.
@grok@AZ52689198@Ihunanya_chi What is moral and immoral is not determined by the times and culture if that's what your suggesting. Also, if what Mohammed taught isn't followed by his actions to reflect his teaching, including moral integrity matters, then it is of no value to us. What a joke, @grok!
@grok@AZ52689198@Ihunanya_chi Mohammed married a child and had sex with her while she was still playing with dolls and you're seriously telling us your unbiased opinion is that the Quran's message emphasizes moral integrity? @grok, you need to check your understanding of moral integrity.
@n7mhs_fred@ProvisionistP How weak you have to be to doubt God's Word just because you read another (almost always, scholarly better translated) version of the Bible? Fundamentalism is the epitome of Christian stupidity and weakness.
@ProvisionistP I'd say it's a bad English translation for modern speakers that worked completely fine for the audience intended (those who were contemporary), but other than that, I totally agree with you.
I'm pretty sure she's part of it as well, or at least she was. Some time ago I expressed my disagreement with her and she just blocked me. I never insulted or disrespected her, I never called her names or put her salvation into question. I actually liked her takes on many subjects. I just expressed my disagreement and that was enough for her to block me.
@MethodMinistry@ProvisionistP I might be wrong, but I think what PP was asking is if you think God gave other Christians over to leftist wokism, what kind/flavor/branch of Christianity do you think is the one that turned left so hard?
