A golden arm! Southern Columbia’s Ethan Reed is the 2026 PIAA Champion in the javelin. The Tiger senior won it at 219-2 which is the second longest in Class 2A state history. Collin Geise, a Danville senior, took third in the event at 189-0. @piaad4sports

Congrats to Ethan who broke 2023 PIAA champion Tyler Arnold’s previous mark of 205-4. Prior to that, former 2008 state champ Ted Heitzman held the record at 198-7. This historic toss is also a Tiger Stadium record that was set in 1974 at 202-8 by Marlon VanHorn of Selinsgrove.
