AKA Big Daddy CC. Yankees year round. Baseball year round. Not many followers so I'm just tweeting my thoughts into the ether.

@TalkinYanks And they're already down 6-0 before Volpe even bats.

@_24kin Some people cannot comprehend that "Cashman didn't do anything" and "Cashman didn't make every single move that I, random ass Internet user, thought he should make" are not the same thing.

[Mic'd Up Cole @Big_Daddy_CC_27]

Not sure what I'm enjoying more on this trade deadline day: the constant rumors and smoke around trades or 90% of Yankee Twitter melting down when Cash doesn't make all of the exact trades people wanted.

[Mic'd Up Cole @Big_Daddy_CC_27]

Oh.

[Jeff Passan @JeffPassan]

Trade news: The Pittsburgh Pirates are acquiring right-handed reliever Camilo Doval from the New York Yankees for two prospects, sources tell ESPN.

@DonnieCSports I agree. The use of quotation marks in their post would have helped a lot. Punctuation is a lost art apparently.

But providing context would probably mean less engagement, so here we are. 😑

Cool. I turn the game on and immediately the Rays hit a homer.

[Mic'd Up Cole @Big_Daddy_CC_27]

@YankeeSource If you have a negative wRC+ is it actually runs destroyed instead of runs created?

[MLB @MLB]

15 years ago today, Derek Jeter hit a home run for his 3,000th career hit!

Oh good. Amazon has a 7 day free trial for Peacock Plus so I can subscribe, watch for 3 hours, and then unsubscribe.

I'm almost 36 years old but SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY.

[Mic'd Up Cole @Big_Daddy_CC_27]

Not only is it GC Bump Day for the first time since 2024, we've got @RyanRuocco on the call!!!!!!

[Mic'd Up Cole @Big_Daddy_CC_27]

HOLY SHIT

[Jeff Passan @JeffPassan]

The Boston Red Sox fired manager Alex Cora, hitting coach Peter Fatse, bench coach Rámon Vazquez and game-planning coach Jason Varitek, sources tell ESPN.

While the Red Sox won today, they are 10-17 and in last in the American League East. Massive change is coming in Boston.

[Mic'd Up Cole @Big_Daddy_CC_27]

@pamsson He played on Wednesday night (lead off HR) and SWB is playing a double header today. I assume day off last night and playing in Game 2 today?

Spencer Jones isn't starting on Game 1 either for what it's worth.

[Mic'd Up Cole @Big_Daddy_CC_27]

When you want to watch the Yankees game but the kid wants to watch Opening Day for the Red Wings instead.

[Mic'd Up Cole @Big_Daddy_CC_27]

@_24kin Clearly they don't know ball.

[Mic'd Up Cole @Big_Daddy_CC_27]

I mean of course he was going to do that.

[Mic'd Up Cole @Big_Daddy_CC_27]

I love baseball before 6:00am.

[Mic'd Up Cole @Big_Daddy_CC_27]

Wait, a last second interception to BENEFIT the Bills?

[Mic'd Up Cole @Big_Daddy_CC_27]

As a Bills fan for 30+ years, I cannot wait to see how they blow this one.
