This is a preview of my debut book, an oral history of the '68 World Series. I traveled the country for a year to meet the remaining players, chatting for hours in their homes.
The entire book consists of their words & stories.
@htownrocketsgal@adamclanton@AsteriskTour Very easy to pick up the phone and talk, have me on the air, or meet in person.
If he refuses then idk what to say but it’s beyond embarrassing.
@adamclanton@astros I said we could talk on the phone, man to man.
You’ve declined. If your followers have any integrity, they’ll see that I’m being open here and you’re turning down the offer.
That’s the definition of cowardly. Insulting me from a keyboard while refusing to talk for real
@adamclanton@AsteriskTour Brendan here. I have no interest in promoting my book, and it’s quite an excellent book.
You’re a coward for calling me out online and refusing to talk man to man over the phone. Forget about radio. Chat like men over the phone.
@michaelschwab13@AsteriskTour My comment there doesn’t mean “screw them! Hit them!” — it means, there was a pattern of HBPs where it seems inevitable and then it suddenly stopped. So it’s like.... there’s gotta be one soon, no?
I’m not wishing for injury at all.
Very proud of my college classmate @big_inning for spreading the shame on the Astros. He’s also got a book on the 1968 World Series! https://t.co/nCWN8Y7iZo
Just learned that he passed... may Mr. Naragon rest in peace. He coached the bullpen for the '68 Tigers, and was a catcher on the great '54 Indians team.
Interviewed him at his home in 2017, a really lovely man!
