The $1000 got them 9 regular season tickets plus a “Timeless Ticket” which could be used for regular season or playoffs. The “Timeless Ticket” also allows them to buy 3 tickets at face value for the game they redeem their “Timeless Ticket” at. So let’s do some math:
Let’s assume the regular season tickets cost $20 a piece. This is probably low since they would probably redeem them for a big series (Cubs, Yankees, Dodgers, etc)… 9x20 =$180
Then let’s assume they do redeem the “Timeless Ticket” for the best available ticket pre retail getting the option is a 100 level behind home plate. The face value price of this ticket is probably in the ballpark of $1k-$1.5k. That ticket is currently on the secondary market for $7.7k-$8.5k. If the Timeless Ticket Holder bought 3 extra at face value he would pay $3k-$4.5k and could resell them for ~$24k.
In summary, spend $1k 11 years ago, to go to 9 regular season games, one World Series game and sit behind home plate and sell 3 World Series tickets for a $20k profit… seems like a good deal.
@PolymarketSport Anyone with this ticket should be sitting first few rows right behind home plate. Would be an awesome visual and great marketing. No brainer.
@UziCryptoo@evan_doji You’re also forgetting cost of living (gas, food, utilities, etc.) is vastly different between the two. As someone who moved from CA to another state, it’s much more affordable to live elsewhere.
@Bratsistheman@OhioTate@elonmusk@nikitabier While this is true, banks are often able to increase the FDIC coverage by taking your money (if over $250k) and placing it in other banks and then redepositing it into the main account each day/night.
@CycloneDave69@williamseals That’s how I walked into the first round of high school playoffs and still put up 4 points, 1 rebound, and 5 fouls. If he doesn’t go tonight he’ll be ready Sunday.
@SenWarren Would we then have a surplus? Or would the debt keep rising? Last time I checked the government is still spending more than it’s brining in.
@TukiFromKL The crazier part is we still pay a TSA fee/tax of $5.60 per flight when we buy a plane ticket. Where does that money go if we are not paying TSA workers?
Notre Dame chooses not to play in a conference. Since they don’t play in a conference they don’t get to have the opportunity at an automatic bid. It’s that simple, if they played in the ACC they would have made it this year as the conference champs. But they chose to be independent.
