@SenatorLuma @ath3na89 They can’t compel the college board to offer these classes because they’re not a gov entity but the provision is for the DOE to expand dual enrollment credits for technical colleges. I don’t think it’ll actually happen but it is possible for public trade schools

@SenatorLuma @ath3na89 Unless this changed in the past decade any DE courses were graded on a 5.0 scale along with AP classes, honors was 4.5, and regular classes were 4.0. Anyone gunning for valedictorian had to take AP/DE bc you could get a higher gpa getting an A in an AP than a regular class.

@nobodyknows2322 it’ll only be after universities and public funding lay down the foundational research. the biotech world is full of people with strict CS backgrounds and a bunch of startups are getting funding for products that are 20-30 years out of the realm of possibility.

@minervas_muse @Brad__22 I mean these jobs are usually shitty. Bad hours, instability, no benefits, etc. but if you’re at a decent place you’re most likely making more than every other customer service job. If you tried to change the standard from tips to “livable” wage servers would be pissed.

@toxoplasmobro I could never gaf about food “cultural appropriation”. Almost every culture’s signature dishes relies on ingredients that were only possible through trade within the last ~500 years.

@yrechtman This isn’t true it’s based around how invasive the procedure is. A total knee replacement takes around 1-2 hrs but is considered a major surgery because it involves significant tissue trauma.
