@HorriblePrequel @ttam233@LTBU_2002 Really it just means they didn’t text about it from their regular phones. Chances are they used burner phones. Ohtani is a smart guy. I think the “interpreter” was there specifically to take the fall if ohtani ever got caught.
@courtoffair It’s such a bummer. It was supposed to be in October then they pushed it to March and now it’s just canceled. My wife and I were really looking forward to it. I was really hoping to ask him a question about Grosse Point Blank.
@johncusack it’s a major bummer your show got cancelled in St. Louis. I was really looking forward to it. I was really hoping to get a chance to ask you a question about my favorite movie of yours.
@SamBlum3@Ken_Rosenthal It’s irrelevant how much he cares about baseball. What’s relevant is the time and energy he puts in to stay healthy and produce. He’s getting a ton of money and I think if he was producing at an elite level nobody would care about these comments but since he’s not it looks bad.
@Sandrade55I@Ken_Rosenthal@EvanDrellich You asked if we would be asking the questions and the answer is yes we would and if the refs tried to defer nearly a billion dollars I think many more questions would be raised because they don’t have the same value or revenue as the dodgers.
@nut_history Absolutely. I think now more than ever baseball has shown they don’t really care about a level playing field they just want to appear that they do.
@Ken_Rosenthal@EvanDrellich It’s bad for baseball. As the major market teams are taking over all the small and mid market teams can hope for is a 3-4 year window to win and if they don’t get it then time to rebuild, better luck next decade. It’s great for people like Ken who advocates for players only.
@Sandrade55I@Ken_Rosenthal@EvanDrellich Yes we would be having this conversation if anyone else signed him to this kind of a deal. In fact imagine if the reds did it. People would be crying about how they can’t afford the contract so they have to do this shady deal to make it work.
@JakeMartyniuk@sardonic_bear@RealAngelSavior@haloweezy I’m no economist but I’m pretty sure Inflation and the value of the dollar are the same thing. The more a dollar is worth the more you can buy with it. The less the dollar is worth the more the cost of things is inflated. We all want to be able to buy more with less.
