NEW: Suspected Bahamian drug kingpin shot dead in Marsh Harbour parking lot, teen hit in the crossfire

Warren “Spy” Ellis, a businessman and a suspected Bahamian drug kingpin, was killed Monday in a daylight ambush outside in Marsh Harbour, Abaco.

Multiple gunmen opened fire as Ellis left the store and 25 spent casings were found at the scene.

A 14-year-old boy who had just bought a drink was shot in the leg and airlifted to Nassau.

Authorities believe it was a targeted hit and that the gunmen may have come from another island.

It was the 52nd homicide recorded in The Bahamas this year.
