“Being in a minority, even in a minority of one, did not make you mad. There was truth and there was untruth, and if you clung to the truth even against the whole world, you were not mad.”
George Orwell, 1984
@jackwhitehall obviously it's:
Shag the Terminator
Marry Wall-E
C3PO off a cliff
Tough, as I'm a massive star wars fan, but Wall-E is too kind, and I'm pretty sure either of the other options with the terminator result in my death.

That resignation speech just now by Rishi Sunak was by far the best speech he’s ever made -
- gentle in tone, thoughtful, kind, grateful, humble. With an inclusive vision of Britain. It was the most human we’ve ever seen him.
If only he had governed in that tone.
OK, so the story is: "man joins face eating leopard party and is shocked when the leopard eats someone's face".
Credit to @mrjamesob for that analogy. And, to a degree - fair play to the candidate for calling it out and stepping down, but he must have been naive, at best.
Reform UK candidate ditches campaign, saying he is "disillusioned" with his party after racism row and backs Conservatives instead https://t.co/peklE5U8VZ
@mrjamesob@LBC I don't think they should be named, but the one counterargument to that vie is: what if later in life, when released, they have a relationship (friend or partner) with Joe public, and they don't reveal their past? In that, doesn't Joe public have a right to know?
