So in other words, since he copped to the single count of conspiracy ONLY, and since there is a sealed supplement attached to this (which is almost always where the cooperation terms live), it sure looks a LOT to me like Morens is a cooperating witness who gave up the goods on someone else. And gee, let me think… when a plea is agreed to it isn’t usually for someone lower on the totem pole, it’s for a higher-up. And since he was Fauci’s #1 top advisor… methinks Fauci is fooked.

Hat tip to @AGPamBondi and to U.S. Attorney Kelly O. Hayes (who Bondi appointed and assigned to the case). Bondi green-lit the work, took the public heat, and let the investigations run virtually unmolested in the background(read my attached article on the "trump shufffle" for more on this). The indictments dropped right after Bondi left, exactly as you’d expect if most of the heavy lifting was already done under her watch, and since these cases take many months to put together, had to have.

Bonus: since she left before those indictments dropped, she has no conflict of interest if she ends up in some future role involving these cases or related subjects, that will be happening in FLA, a legal system she is all too familiar with.

Morens and others plotted to conceal/destroy federal records re: COVID-19 and federal grants to avoid FOIA and the Federal Record Act.

What are the odds that Morens turned state's evidence against him as part of his plea deal?

Of course, we wouldn't know, but I think it's more than likely that he did.

A few things could be in play here, including them being dumb enough to pull a stunt like this. But I doubt they want to risk Scott Bessent being sicced on them.

It's always the money.

And that's why my gut reaction tells me it's highly likely a ploy to get some $$$ out of the deal.

I say 'some' and not 'more' b/c I can't find anywhere that they were being compensated. It was (and remains) a diplomatic deal with the IAEA for an operation to secure a previously unknown location now known as "Site 99".

The operation to secure the material couldn't be more impt, and for obvious reasons.

Thinking about it, Syria pulling the plug at the last moment was their only leverage.

Time will tell, but this doesn't NOT make sense. I mean, it's the frigging Middle East. They almost certainly want a pot-o-gold for being so generous.

Reminder: It's always a complete pain in the ass dealing with many/most of the countries over there regardless.
