20 dollar patch kit won't fix that. Otherwise you could do it yourself, right? Exactly. That's easily a bigger repair than you know. Large cutout out area , 1/4-1/2 sheet of sheet rock, mud, tape, but then there is the cost of knowledge to fix it, tools to fix it, time to fix it, traveling to fix it, and of course putting up with you to fix it. Easily worth $600.
