Z is a generation still learning to navigate the world they were born into, but they also need to understand the era that existed before them. As Philip is saying, one of the challenges is their lack of patience and unwillingness to appreciate the process. They often want the results without understanding the journey it takes to achieve them. Social media has a lot to do with this, constantly feeding them instant gratification and unrealistic expectations. The problem isn’t that Gen Z lacks potential; it’s that many are yet to understand that not everything valuable comes quickly, and not every process should be judged by how fast it produces results.
We should all try our best not to change principles we use to judge harmful behavior simply because of the gender of the person. Abuse involves a pattern of harmful behavior , coercion and violating another person’s autonomy, a single harmful act can also be abuse. So if I may ask, at what point do you think one can be judged to have abused another person?
A man can have children with different women and those children can still carry his paternal lineage. A woman carries each pregnancy herself, and if those children have different fathers, you’re bringing different paternal lines into the same maternal family.
I’m not saying a woman’s body becomes “corrupted” by having multiple partners.
I’m talking about what happens around the biology family identity, fatherhood, inheritance, belonging and how children understand their place in the world.
We don’t just create children we create families, lineages and cultures through them.
So before we casually say women should have multiple husbands, maybe we should ask ourselves: what kind of family are we creating for the generation coming after us?
Because changing how we structure reproduction doesn’t just change relationships between men and women. Over time, it can change the very way society understands family, lineage and belonging.
Men love the women they choose to bring home and marry. No man goes into marriage planning to divorce a woman who genuinely becomes his peace.
But when other women come into the picture, I don’t think that reality can simply be ignored. The ultimate thing is learning your man, accepting him for who he is, supporting him, and knowing how to work things out with him.
You have to understand that he will need to be a man in his own space. Sometimes, managing your man means knowing when to step back, when to give him room, and when not to turn every situation into a confrontation. If he needs space, give him that space. Sometimes, get out of the house, go stay with the kids, let him have his moment and let things settle.
And if he has other affairs, you need to understand the difference between what happens outside the home and what you allow to destroy the home. You can manage your relationship in such a way that those other relationships remain affairs and don’t become replacements for you.
But never enter a relationship simply because of what you’re getting from the man. If the money, gifts, lifestyle and comfort are the only reasons you’re staying, then you’re not building a marriage; you’re maintaining an arrangement.
A woman who understands her man, gives him room, supports him, becomes his peace and knows how to navigate the difficult parts of the relationship is very difficult to replace.
Lawyers representing Mr. Harold Duodu Norman, husband of fashion icon Nana Akua Addo, have issued a press statement responding to the pictures and allegations circulating online.
According to his lawyers:
1. The couple have been married for 14 years.
2. The pictures currently in circulation relate to incidents that occurred about five years ago and, according to the statement, were resolved at the time.
3. They have resurfaced amid ongoing tensions and an existing court case between the two parties.
4. The lawyers allege that Nana Akua Addo attempted on three occasions to stab Mr. Norman with a knife, and that the alleged incidents were reported at four different police stations.
5. They further allege that she has anger issues, has damaged property on several occasions, and has injured Mr. Norman on a number of occasions.
6. Regarding the photograph showing Nana Akua Addo with a swollen mouth, the lawyers claim the injury occurred during an alleged attempt to attack Mr. Norman with a knife. According to their account, she allegedly attempted to stab him in the chest, prompting him to reach for a wooden mirror to protect himself. They claim the mirror broke and a piece pierced her face, resulting in the injury seen in the photograph.
This is the man’s side of the story…….
My point is communication is the best way, no man should hit a woman and no woman should hit a man, let’s amplify that. Most men walk away the first and second time. I believe most men are innocent in these situations and we are guilty, we are just as you also are. Tit for TAT, not Tit for Tit.
@ewedoll1@0panaa_1 What is the worst abuse case you’ve seen or heard of? Fid out the facts and you’ll see a common thread, it is ignorance of very obvious things.
@ewedoll1@0panaa_1 Why is the internet forcing people to go with what is Generally accepted? why do people create narratives and want to force people into their narrative. If someone is saying she likes something and you don’t like it why force the person to accept what you like?
