When we get the mandate and finally become Governor, with the support of our people, we’ll creatively and compulsively deal with the issue of bad federal roads in our dear state.

These things can be done. Our administration will fight for the interests of the Edo people day and night with negotiations with multinational companies and collaboration with the Federal government to have this menace of bad federal roads sorted. Until we all have a reason to smile and go about our businesses with ease and tranquillity, we shall never relent.

It was an honour to join His Excellency, my true brother and friend, the ‘miracle’ Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri and his Deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, for their inauguration in office for a second term.

Governor Diri has, in the last four years, displayed untainted leadership, leading his people as a true father with a lot of growth and development experienced by the people of Bayelsa on all fronts in the state.

With sustained focus, I am optimistic that Bayelsa State will continue to enjoy success in all the state dealings and the people will directly be impacted by his policies and plans.

Ash Wednesday is a special day set aside to remind us that, as humans, we are all of dust and to dust shall we return.
