Man, this stinks.
I don’t think people realize just how savvy Rob was when it came to the business of people, specifically leading people.
Never saw a coach publicly sacrifice himself more to protect his players, in an attempt to handle things professionally and privately.
@CorkballOne Other than sending Robertson (!!! wtf is he doing there in the first place) back out for a second inning in the dodgers series there aren't a lot egregious mistakes. This is about roster construction - not managing.
@CorkballOne The players came up short each time. You go back to most of the moves he made, he had the right players at the right spot because there were no other alternatives.
@CorkballOne He took a team that was under .500 to the world series. Never missed the playoffs. Won two straight NL East titles with an anemic outfield and a bullpen that was as inconsistent as they came.
Ask anyone in the clubhouse, in the organization, around the game - anywhere. He was a sound baseball mind and a good manager of the game. Such a loss.
the defend castellanos camp is mind boggling. all he's done is trash the fans, trash the manager, all while his stats as a player were heading straight to the trash too.
he had a good series against atlanta in 23 and the dodgers last year in the ps
im good, thanks.
