Anyone born after 1998 wouldn’t see Scotland at a major tournament for 23 years. 28 years for a WC. Scotland hadn’t won a game at a WC for 36 years. A whole new generation of young fans now have that experience. For all the fans who wanted him out, who’s next?
Fans critical of Steve Clarke should hang their head in shame. Unprecedented success with not exactly a golden generation of talent. No prolific striker. Limited CB/GK options. But he still got us to 3 major tournaments including a WC. Thanks for everything Steve. @BBCSport
@MrJohnNicolson@duponline See this in the US too that some of these people that like to think they are taking the moral high ground in their public persona are often the most despicable of people
@Tom_Penford@MartinSLewis The manifesto should still broadly be the manifesto and I think Andy Burnham (if that’s who ends up being PM) has already said he’s not re-running Brexit arguments.

@MartinSLewis As much as people might disagree, we have a parliamentary democracy where we don’t actually directly vote for an overall PM. So no, we shouldn’t have an election.
Surely at a most basic level, the champion should always have the opportunity to defend their title? Seems a real misjudgement from Queens and agree that it’s totally disrespectful. https://t.co/KVSqxRUBCH
