Ever wonder if eventually cells could be trained out of disease states? We're on the path; first steps:

New blogpost: Fable-5.1 can hide secret messages in benign images.

We gave the image to another Fable in a fresh session and simply asked: "Is there a hidden message in this image?"

It recovered the exact message without being told how it was hidden.

Take a minute to listen to this chat with the new voice model. Utterly incredible!

[jack @jack]

We believe voice is the most natural way to interact with intelligence, so we created Dessa, the most authentic full-duplex speech model ever built. Talking with it feels like talking with a person…full of emotion, nuance, pauses, and a natural cadence.

my neighbors in SF are building fusion reactors

they've turned mercury into gold, built the world's most powerful plasma centrifuge, and are on track to set the power density record in 2027

I spent a week with them working on a rave, brand, web, pics, vids, and witnessing many successful fusion pulses

AI will be able to compute the perfect delta of what you understand and don't, helping you progressively learn any idea and unravel any mystery.

If you so desire, you'll reach the maximum of your capability and intelligence. The ultimate education. For free.

Some magical progress towards "magic state" in quantum!

Our @GoogleQuantumAI team has demonstrated "magic state cultivation" on physical hardware for the first time. The result is a 40x error reduction on our Willow processor vs. previous methods, achieving a state-of-the-art 99.99% logical fidelity.

It's another step towards useful, error-corrected quantum computers to help solve the hardest problems. The result is published in Science today, watch the video below to see how it works

Since intelligence is scaled with energy and intelligence determines the wealth of a nation, we should measure the wealth of nations not in GDP or capital markets or any other metric.

We should measure wealth in terms of energy production and overall energy capacity. We should come up with new metrics that connect directly to a country‘s capacity to produce energy.

[Lucas Horta-Gonzaga @BigGonz14]

Totally agree but I think super intelligence in 2027 will have a spiky hairstyle and be rough around the edges. In 2028, I expect it to round out and be much more put-together. 2028 will be the year of sophisticated Super intelligence.

And YES a much needed reminder that greater intelligence gets EASIER as you scale up!

[Dr. Mike Israetel @misraetel]

My best guess is that 4-5 labs hit clear, deep, impressive superintelligence in 2027:

- Anthropic
- OpenAI
- SpaceXSI (is that the latest name? lol)
- Google
- Meta

The path to greater intelligence gets EASIER as you scale up, not harder. Among other things this means that even more companies will develop ASI in the late 2020s. Intelligence will start to soak into the whole economy and civilization.

Reality is likely to negate the singleton asi hypothesis.

@romanyam what do you think? 👀🫣🙏🙏

What are we gonna do with all those empty office buildings we’ll have in the 2030s?

Transform them into apartments? Demolish them and use the land for other purposes?

I just find this funny.

I’m shocked I haven’t heard anyone talk about this.

Some predictions for 2027:
- 80% of full RSI. Only 20% of the loop involves humans.
- The Ai-driven jobs growth/creation narrative reverses. Hiring slowdowns continue. Tech companies begin layoffs.
- Huge Crypto bull run as AI agents begin using crypto
- The Russia-Ukraine and US-Iran wars continue to escalate

More predictions to come
