Happy New Month, fam! 🥳✨
July just slid in like “let’s reset this chaos” but we all know by day 3 we’ll be back to hyperfocus on random 2am ideas, forgetting to eat, and adulting on survival mode 😂
May this month bring us small wins, quiet calm days that actually feel soulful, and enough motivation to finish what we started (or at least laugh at the attempt).
What’s one thing you’re hoping July does differently for you?
ADHD brain is in FULL hyperfocus mode 🔥 Just finished rewatching House of the Dragon S3E1 and I’m still buzzing!!
That dragon battle had me yelling at my screen like a lunatic, the Targaryen family drama hit different (those betrayals??), and that ending cliffhanger left my brain spinning for days 😭
Now counting down to Episode 2 like it’s my personality trait. Who else is staying up late tonight? Drop your predictions below!
Some days my ADHD brain doesn’t just avoid tasks… it avoids feelings.
One text from someone I care about, one quiet moment alone, and suddenly I’m reorganizing my tabs, binge-watching edits, or cleaning one drawer like my life depends on it. Anything to not sit with the weight in my chest.
It’s not laziness. It’s emotional overwhelm on steroids. My brain whispers “too much, too heavy, too scary” and throws up every distraction it can find.
If you’re out here avoiding your own emotions too… you’re not broken. You’re just wired differently, and some days that wiring feels like a survival tactic.
How do you gently coax your ADHD brain to face the feelings anyway?
