BREAKING: Republicans spit on the American people by unveiling new legislation that would deliver a staggering $28 billion tax cuts to the richest 1% of Americans next year — with only a measly $1.4 billion in cuts going to the poorest fifth of the country.

Put another way, the poorest fifth of Americans would have to settle for an insulting $40 on average per person. Meanwhile, fat cats in the top 1% will see on average a tax cut of $16,550.

Since it's not enough for Republicans to simply rob from average Americans and they have to insult us too, one of the proposed bills is ironically titled: "The Tax Cuts for Working Families Act."

This new analysis of the bills comes from the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy (ITEP). Its director, Steven Wamhoff, slammed the legislation as "a terrible deal for ordinary Americans and a windfall for foreign investors and the richest 1% of Americans."

Thankfully, Democrats control the Senate and White House and will take a stand against Republican greed by opposing these disastrous bills.
