@IGN So, consumers need to eat the cost? Obviously, this is rhetorical. BLUF: the solution is to implement regulation/law to keep prices low for corporations and consumers—problem solved. These companies are buying all the components. Do something, don't kick the can to the consumer.

It's one of the best war films in the last half-century. It's depiction of war is very realistic, and chaotic. Mr. Stone didn't just write & direct the 3 films in his Vietnam Trilogy—Born on the 4th of July & Heaven and Earth being the other two—he served in 'Nam.

I think that because it's Kubrick's last film there is an elevation in how it's perceived at times. It's a good film, but it's definitely not his best work.
