Defensive linemen at the high school level, this is important to understand.
One of the biggest parts of pass rushing is recognizing the offensive lineman’s pass set and understanding how he is trying to position and control you in pass protection.
Instead of simply rushing directly into the blocker, learn to identify how the offensive lineman is setting you up and how you can counter it.
The three primary pass sets defensive linemen will commonly see are:
✅ Vertical Set
✅ Angle Set
✅ Jump Set
Understanding these pass sets can help defensive linemen improve their pass rush plan, counter moves, leverage, and overall football IQ.
Coaches, feel free to share this with your players.
@ybnjj48@CGJXXIII@Chase_Senior Mahomes has a top at least top 10 defense every year since 2019 and at one point had a top 5 wr (Hill and Dhop) and best TE (kelce) in history not to mention the greatest coach to do it. Not saying he near the level of QB of Mahomes but he had hella talent around him.
Harrison grad, Asher Horn, is having a really good season so far, from the looks of his midseason tape below!
He's made a buncha big tackles & hits, and has several interceptions, a few of which he returned for TDs!
He's going to school, over at Garden City C.C., in Kansas.👇👇👇
