What gets me is the people who jump on the “ponzi” argument will then go and throw $1k into 5 different memecoins each with 100bn supply and not see the irony.

If $BIG didn’t have to be mined, people wouldn’t be calling it a ponzi which I can’t wrap my head around. End result is the same. It’s just a coin with a theoretical 21m total supply, and realistically 10m total supply.

I hear you say: "BTC is different because miners secure the network." But that's not exactly what makes BTC different from a Ponzi. After all, in a real Ponzi, new entrants also "secure" the system.

BTC isn’t a Ponzi because value comes from decentralization, limited supply, consensus, and open participation—not just new money coming in.

Bigcoin operates with similar mechanics: transparent, decentralized, capped supply. If you still think that's a Ponzi, maybe rethink your definition.

Or just admit: 99.99% of crypto is equally a Ponzi.
