NEW: Gregory Timm on trial for shooting disabled veteran over 'stolen valor' claims
On July 31, 2025, Gregory Timm approached 68-year-old Navy veteran Harold Powell on the Seattle waterfront and accused him of "stolen valor."
Timm ripped a military patch from Powell’s wheelchair.
In response, Powell, a double amputee, brandished a knife and a holstered airsoft gun to defend himself.
Video shows Timm stepping back, pulling a handgun from his backpack, and shooting Powell once in the chest.
Powell survived the injury after treatment at Harborview Medical Center.
Timm has pleaded not guilty to first-degree assault.
Timm was previously convicted in 2021 for driving his van into a Trump voter registration tent in Jacksonville, Florida.
