@cenkuygur As someone watching from a far, who’d the Dem establishment replace him with if he actually stood down? They’re never going to vote in a genuine progressive. That goes against their centrist core (that they are relatively comfortable in given the Republican lurch further right).

@atrupar As with other western economies, decades of failure to address the growing wealth gap opens the doors to people like Trump.
In the UK, it was Brexit and Boris.
The symptoms and rhetoric is practically identical.

However, with Labour policy largely being on par with Cameron’s Tories, the SNP will fight more for the changes required for the people in this constituency.

@SpeakerMcCarthy All the investigations started long before Trump announced he was running. Are you saying that they should have all stopped as soon as he did that? Are you saying that any American can be immune from prosecution if they run for political office before (or after) being charged?
